Looking to burn some calories while getting toned and fit? Come get your sweat on with this fun Tabata workout.  

The intention of this class is to work both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of the body.  Exercises specific to increase cardiovascular and muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and agility.  With a strong focus on form, breath and movement.  Using the tabata model, you will perform quick burst of exercise, with a short rest. Exercises are performed primarily with body weight, but will use resistance for some.  You will be surprised how fit you can become with this short and quick workout! No experience necessary. Those who are new to tabata will be encouraged to listen to their bodies and to only go to the intensity that is comfortable for them. This is a non-competitive and fun exercise class and great for all ages. 

Children are welcome with an adult.  All levels and drop-in’s welcome.

Let’s get our ride on! Join me at the SHAPE Facility at Northern Vermont University for a 50min cycling workout. Bring water, a towel and sneakers (or cycling shoes if you desire). The studio is located on the second floor in the SHAPE facility. Lockers and showers are available.

Classes are FREE to Northern Vermont University students, employees & staff

Community members have 4 options:

  1. Unlimited Group Exercise semester membership $200 (exp 5/17/19)

  2. Group Exercise 10 punch pass (no expiration) $90

  3. Day fee including a class $12

Restorative yoga is a practice that allows us to surrender completely, while being supported and guided into deep relaxation. Going deeper into the healing aspects of restoration, can bring up old stories and memories that have been buried deep within the cells of our being. Hidden and tucked into corners we never thought could be exposed ... but alas, when triggered just perfectly, they always find a way to resurface. The stories that we have not come to peace with, have an important roll in our life path. True wellness is not the absence of troubles but rather a life where we feel okay no matter whats going on around us. When we truly feel we are enough, our creativity springs from a deeper place, where our head and hearts are aligned.

For the majority of the retreat, you will be supported and bolstered in restorative yoga postures on a mat. You will be encouraged to completely surrender. The only "hard" work you need to do, is to completely let go, and open to the powers of your organic life flow that resides within. 

During the retreat, Virginia and Jennifer will be around to offer gentle bodywork while you are resting in postures.  They may also use warm stones, healing crystals, essential oils and sound bowls to deepen the healing practice.

Rejoice and celebrate your accomplishments, let go of your stories, and realign to your true authentic life path.  Come drift away in this deeply restorative healing mini-retreat and reclaim your wholeness.

The practice of restorative yoga is not always that simple to settle into, especially when we are so wired to be connected or engaged in doing something, but when we do finally arrive, the healing benefits are profound. I invite you to join me as I hold space for you to unwind, go within, and be that silent witness. Letting go of the to-do list, the agenda for the week, and allowing yourself to arrive home … to you.

The practice will include guided meditation, breath work, and a handful of relaxing yoga postures. All ages and levels are welcome, no yoga experience necessary, just a willingness to surrender and let go.

Please bring your own blankets, props (bolster and block), and yoga mat.

Harvest Healing Retreat

In the practice of deep listening we realize that we truly are enough, just the way we are in the world. Restorative yoga is a practice that allows us to surrender completely, while being supported and guided into deep relaxation. Going deeper into the healing aspects of restoration, can bring up old stories and memories that have been buried deep within the cells of our being. Hidden and tucked into corners we never thought could be exposed ... but alas, when triggered just perfectly, they always find a way to resurface. The stories that we have not come to peace with, have an important roll in our life path. True wellness is not the absence of troubles but rather a life where we feel okay no matter whats going on around us. When we truly feel we are enough, our creativity springs from a deeper place, where our head and hearts are aligned.

For the majority of the retreat, you will be supported and bolstered in restorative yoga postures on a mat. You will be encouraged to completely surrender. The only "hard" work you need to do, is to completely let go, and open to the powers of your organic life flow that resides within. 

During the retreat, Virginia and Jennifer will be around to offer gentle bodywork while you are resting in postures.  They may also use warm stones, healing crystals, essential oils and sound bowls to deepen the healing practice.

Rejoice and celebrate your accomplishments, let go of your stories, and realign to your true authentic life path.  Come drift away in this deeply restorative healing mini-retreat and reclaim your wholeness.
