Emily Rooney-Bryan

Clinical Herbalist & Wellness Educator

Emily Rooney Bryan is a Clinical Herbalist and Wellness Educator.  She was born to seven generations of Vermonters and takes pride in her families’ connection to place.  Early on she developed an intense curiosity for the natural world, looking up wild edibles in books as an elementary student and constantly quizzing her Dad on his knowledge of the woods.  Her desire to be close to the land and to learn resilience and self-reliance led her to study Anthropology and Environmental Studies at St. Lawrence University.  While enrolled there she traveled to East Africa as a student of ethnobotany and later immersed herself in the Adirondack wilderness to gain a greater understanding of and appreciation for the laws of the natural world.  Upon graduation she moved to the Pacific North West where she enrolled in the International Integrative Educational Institute to formally begin her study of herbal medicine.  Her knowledge of plant medicine grew from time both in the classroom and in in the wild lands of Washington and Alaska.  When she returned home to Vermont she became a student of herbal medicine at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism before starting her own clinical practice.

As a Clinical Herbalist Emily works in conjunction with each individual to create customized wellness plans.  She combines a working knowledge of plant medicine and science, energetic systems, nutrition and lifestyle practices to both nourish and enhance a state of health and wellbeing.

Cheryl Small

bodyworker & yoga instructor

Cheryl’s approach to massage and yoga is very holistic. From a young age she became aware of and fascinated by people’s energy bodies and was able to see beyond just the physical being. This ability has become an integral part of her work as she specializes in helping people connect to their own subtle energy, see beyond “what meets the eye”, and truly understand what complete wellness means for them. She is also trained in Swedish, Hot Stones, reflexology, prenatal, myofascial and trigger point therapy, deep tissue, sports massage, and Reiki.

Cheryl hopes to combine her years of bodywork experience with her yoga to create a safe nurturing space for people to connect to their true self, find and live their purest potential, and utilize that inner strength that will sustain and nourish them through all of life’s challenges.
